LOVE BEACONS

150 beacons in special outdoor locations.

I grew up at the base of Beacon Hill, and I would wander up there as a teenager and look out over the land. Anciently, a fire was lit on top of that hill as a warning of approaching danger; Other close-by hilltops would see the fire and light up as well. Today, Beacon Hill continues to communicate; a radio tower stands on top.

The concept of the ‘Love Beacons’ was to get outside and honor 150 natural sites. These sites, often hill tops, were dedicated by placing a Love Beacon in the hope that they would beam out more love into this world.

Most of the sites are ‘off the beaten track’ and require some physical and emotional effort to get to; You will sweat if you try to find them!

Each site is chosen to transmit love, hope and peace to a nation where the danger is staying inside.

The Love Beacons message is NORA (Nature and Outdoor Recreation for All).

I believe that outdoor experiences will bring love, hope and peace back into life.
